Can foreigners own land in Mexico?
Foreigners can own land through a bank-held trust, called a "Fidecomiso" which is renewable in perpetuity, or through a self-established corporation in which the homeowners are the sole shareholders. By Mexican law, foreigners must use one of these two title conditions to own land within 50 kilometers of coasts and 100 kilometers of borders.

Are there schools and hospitals?
Yes to both. There are US-affiliated schools within Pedregal de Cabo San Lucas, which offer K-12 education. The curriculum is recognized and accepted at all American high schools and universities. There is a local hospital and a specialty clinic with Air-Evac capabilities.

Is title insurance available?
Yes, title insurance is available through First American Title Company or Stewart Title Company. Both have excellent teams who have worked with Coldwell Banker Riveras for many years.

Is financing available for the purchase of lots, homes and construction?
Coldwell Banker Riveras offers financing for developer properties at competitive interest rates for 5-, 10- and 15-year terms in some developments. We also can recommend companies in Cabo providing construction financing.

Is there a Marina for private yachts?
There is a 300-plus slip marina in Cabo, which offers full-service repairs, and daily, weekly and monthly rates for the mooring of private and business yachts.

Where is the nearest airport?
The San José Mexico International Airport is 45 minutes away. There are more than 30 flights daily, from most major U.S. cities. There is also a civilian aviation terminal in the Cabo area which receives private and corporate jets.
