Hot Town, Summer in San Jose del Cabo

    By Cherine Khouzam

Hot town, summer in San Jose del Cabo…  What do you see?  What is the picture that forms in your mind as you read this tile?  Let me clear it up.  It’s hot; really, really hot… and muggy.  It’s our rainy season which would typically display a grey sky and daily downpours in your thoughts, right?  NOT.

Yes it rains, but not frequently and just enough to lighten the air (in Baja we only get up to 15 rainy days in entire year!).  Also, it rains just enough to turn our Baja green (which is more of rich beige) into a lush, deep green panorama.  Now, picture this desert jungle and above it, the deepest bluest sea…  Ah, the sea!  At its warmest!  Even the most doubtful of bathers bask in its warmest waters.  Lazy floating is definitely at the top of the daily activities.  It also means the season for: Marvelous and meaty Mangos, gorgeous and great Guavas, beautiful and bountiful butterflies, delicious dates and a variety of fresh colorful produce.

September summertime is also Mexico’s “Mes de la Patria”, a month to celebrate this glorious country and its 202nd Independence anniversary from Spain.  Vibrant festivities abound: fun fiestas, awesome store specials and the most traditional Mexican dishes are always on the menu.

I, as an outsider slowly creating my spot under this beautiful Mexican sun, appreciate summertime in San Jose because I get a true sense and appreciation of its people (and of air conditioning) and their extraordinary journey.

Now, picture yourself enjoying summertime in San José del Cabo from your breezy home in Chamizal (like for example Libelula home on the photo above), or from your cozy downtown condo in Laguna Vista (on the photo below), or even from your Golf Course Villa at Club Campestre San Jose (pictured last in this blog post).

How does the picture look now?

Coldwell Banker Riveras has the perfect home away from home to fit your needs, your budget and especially, your “wish list”.  Viva summertime in San Jose del Cabo!

    Until next time, saludos!
