Hello from Todos Santos,
Well the morning fog and overcast are gone and summer has arrived, with the cool days behind us. The 4-lane from Cabo San Lucas is open all the way on pavement with only a few bridges to finish. From San Jose del Cabo to Cabo San Lucas the road looks amazing with every detail addressed to make things beautiful for the recent G20 Summit, not really a hard task considering where we are.
The real estate market in Todos Santos continues to stay strong and sales for this year have already surpassed both 2010 and 2011 and this is very exciting! I don’t see the market slowing since Todos (as we locals call Todos Santos) continues to find new ways to attract tourists who fall in love and buy. We also have easier access since the road is done. The new by-pass from La Paz to Cabo is underway, and will alleviate large trucks driving through town. Also the paving of the next 2-3 km. of road heading north out of town has begun. No more bumpy road headed to La Pastora, does this mean I have to upgrade “el tanque” (my truck “the tank”) to something a little more presentable “not”.
Let’s not forget about fishing, here is a great sunrise and catch of the day from my most recent trip out on the Sea of Cortez. Living in Todos Santos really does give me the best of both the Pacific and the Sea of Cortez to fish from depending on the season and water temps.
