Judith Farber’s Street Photography Workshop, Todos Santos, BCS
Whether you’re a beginner looking to improve your compositional skills or a pro needing inspiration, Judith Farber’s photography work shop in Todos Santos will help bring your photographs up a notch. An acclaimed documentary photographer who trained with the likes of Ansel Adams, Judith Farber aims to teach us the “art of seeing.” We’ll explore the historic downtown of Todos Santos BCS with her expert eye training us to see the micro moments that stand out for a photographer, as well as how to best use the camera to capture them. Students will receive professional feedback right as they click the shutter, and try out suggestions to improve their photographic eye. The workshop will help strengthen compositional skills and create perfect framing in the viewfinder; learn to use shadows, backgrounds, lines, and patterns, as well as how to incorporate the concepts of light and simplicity. Farber has taught compositional skills for the last 12 years, and known for her Sundays in NY–a street photography workshop that brings participants on inspiring excursions on the streets of New York City. Suggestions, tips & feedback are offered as participants click the shutter. She has written a number of articles on composition, simplicity, self-editing, judging, critiquing, “how to see,” and is also a co-founder of photoworkshop.com, the first online educational photographic website. So, What’s New in Real Estate?
SOLD! Casa Camino a La Poza.
One of my favorite aspects about working as a real estate agent is preparing a house for market, and Casa Camino La Poza is one of those instances where everything clicked.
The seller was motivated, so we priced the house to sell within the six month selling season (Nov-May). In photographing the house I wanted to show case the fine rock work, the well-designed interiors, the house’s close proximity to town and the secluded setting on the edge of a palm orchard. The interior was simply furnished and didn’t need much except for a few plants and additional lighting. For the text I wanted something brief, like the simplicity of the design, and the images needed to capture the ambiance of the setting.
Casa Camino La Poza was listed in November of 2011 at $189,ooo USD and soon started receiving inquiries and showing it regularly. It went under contract early February 2011 with multiple offers, which is very rare around Todos Santos. We closed the middle of May and the buyers have this to share:
