La Ribera & Los Barriles Real Estate and News [Nov 1, 2011]

Dear readers,

Today’s news are courtesy of our Sales Associate DeVonna Simpson from La Ribera, and from our Sales Assistant in Los Barriles / La Ribera, Aracely Vargas:

What is new in La Ribera & Los Barriles?

It is that time of year – lots of friends returning to Baja for the winter and new faces checking out our pueblo. The hot summer nights are gone and we are looking forward to fresh oranges and a fishing season for sierra fish.

In Los Barriles, even though the heat of the day is giving way to cooler breezes, children from grade 2 A from Elementary School Narciso Mendoza would like to send a big THANK YOU note to some of the members of the American community in Los Barriles for their help in buying and installing a mini split in their classroom. Their generosity will sure make the difference this school season!

And as November enters into our lives, tomorrow November 2nd, we will celebrate the Day of the Dead in Mexico. You can already see people going to the cemetery to commemorate their beloved ones that have already parted, many of them carrying food, drinks and flowers to present it to them… I cannot wait to enjoy the many colors this particular fiesta has to offer!

And what is new in Real Estate in this area bathed by the Sea of Cortes?

The marina in town is making lots of progress, with electric and paving going in now. Slowly but steady, you can start to admire the greatness of the project and the many benefits it will bring us all.

The following properties are great opportunities to invest in the area: Casa PerezNew listing-This casita has two bedrooms, two large palapas, and is located on a large, fenced lot.  $90,000.00 USD

Hacienda Las Palmas was recently reduced from $450,000 USD to $390,000 USD and has 5 bedrooms, 5 baths, lovely courtyards, and is located on a fenced corner lot.  This home would make a great B & B or home for a large family.
