San Jose del Cabo Real Estate & News (Jan 24th, 2011)

Dear friends, our Coldwell Banker Riveras colleague Cherine Khouzam, bring us the latest news from beautiful San Jose del Cabo.

Recycling! Seems like a pretty easy thing to do… right?  Now it is!

San Jose del Cabo is working hard to keep recyclables and toxic waste out the sea, the streets, the landfill and the community!

Yo Reciclo A.C., is a local non-profit organization offering a monthly drop off zone here in San Jose del Cabo (empty lot adjacent to Farmacia Super Doroda, on HW1 as you approach downtown) for the community to bring all their recyclable products. Every 1st Thursday of the Month from 8.00 AM to 2.00 PM.

Accepted materials are: paper and cardboard, plastics (all types!), aluminum (all that cerveza), metal (canned goods, etc), clear glass (vino blanco), colored glass (more cerveza and vino tinto!), electronic-waste (PC, printers, fax machine, old cells, etc) and used cooking oil. When you help recycling, it is really important that you consider the following suggestions:

  • Rinse cans, bottles and plastics, all grouped in their own bags.
  • Oil in a tight container properly sealed.

This collection has been so successful and ever growing that in addition, a second option is offered to our community called Yo Reciclo Blue Days, to be held of the 3rd Thursday of each month from 8 am to 6pm!

Yo Reciclo, in conjunction with Enviro Mass (the guys that actually recycle) and  Baja Blue Bar & Grill (old Rusty Putter behind Mega) will be hosting this second monthly collection of the same type with more focus on education (letting us know where this stuff actually goes…) and curbside pick up for your area.

So mark your calendars for FEB 3rd (Farmacia Dorada) and FEB 17th (Baja Blue) and remember, Recycling does our world good!

Recycling and Real Estate? SURE!
